So we made it to Amsterdam! The flight was really long, but we had access to a bunch of movies and TV shows, so it wasn't as painful as I thought... For all my talk about being the world's best plane sleeper, I barely dozed ... I was just too excited!

We left the airport in Amsterdam and I was literally bouncing off the walls with excitement, I've officially been to Europe now! While I always said backpacking Europe didn't interest me, this afternoon has certainly changed my mind! We took the train into town, then had beers and lunch on a sidewalk patio! Then I went to the Anne Frank museum, which was so incredibly amazing, while the girls went for a walk. We were headed back to the train station to head to the airport when we saw this internet cafe and decided to pop in... Our flight still doesnt leave for 3.5 hours, so hopefully if I can stay up until then, I'll be able to get some solid sleep on the next 8 hr flight!

I am so enthralled with Amsterdam I can't imagine leaving so soon! There are more bikes than you could imagine, and canals and cobblestone streets and sidewalk patios EVERYWHERE. It's so laid back and cheerful. I can't imagine how anyone could live here and not be deleriously happy! While I can't stand leaving so soon, I can't wait to get to Nairobi...if the rest of my trip is half as awesome as today was, I'll be the best three months ever!
